 Board of Director's Meeting
June 7, 2025
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by President Brian Weist. 

Present: President Brian Weist,Secretary Pat Ryan, Treasurer Anita Hagen, Gordy Behm, Jeff Gertgen, Tim Groshens, Tom Hayden, Brian Knoke, Darvin Hauptli, Mark Streed and Ben Anderson. Absent: Dean Volk. Others present: Larry Stranberg.

Motion by Tim, seconded by Gordy, and approved to accept the April 26, 2025, minutes as presented.

Motion by Ben, seconded by Tom, and approved to accept the May financial reports as presented. As of May 31st : Checking balance $6,429.05 and Money Market balance $94,268.46; MFCR Watershed balance $62,205.15.

Board terms expiring are Tom Hayden, Brian Knoke, Jeff Gertgen, and Mark Streed. 

Erin Vruwink is the new MFCR Watershed Water Resource Specialist representative. 

The annual meeting will be held on June 21 at 9:30 am at the County Park. Donuts and coffee will be served.

The board supports a no wake zone of 500 feet for wake boats. 

Ben will be checking with Dean on electronic files for DLARA documents.

Weed fest will be held on July 19, 2025, 2-7 with music and food provided. Southern Crossroads will be the music at a cost of $1000. Board members will serve pulled pork, beans and chips for $8.00.

PLM applied the curly leaf pondweed treatment on May 8 with another treatment to be done at a later date. 70 acres was done in 2025 and we need to plan for next years treatment. 

The Freshwater survey was done on May 31, 2025.

Larry Stranberg was present to discuss a possible walk path on the east side of Diamond Lake. He needs to contact the County in regards to this matter.

Nanobubble Status – on hold. Need more information. Diamond Lake can handle 2000# of phosphorus entering per year, currently there is 3000# entering.

Motion by Jeff, seconded by Mark, and approved to adjourn the meeting.
