The treasurer’s report was as follows: checking $9,571.92, savings $1,043.19, money market $77,498.13 for a total of $88,113.24. There are 260 out of 365 property owners paid 2024 memberships. Treasurer’s report was approved as read.

Election of board directors was held. Directors whose terms expire in 2024 are Mark Kragenbring, Anita Hagen and Pat Ryan. Anita Hagen, Pat Ryan and Darvin Hauptli were elected to 3-year terms and Brian Knoke was elected to fill the one year term.

Aquatic species treatment was done on May 14 by PLM at a cost of $39,355 for 70.6 acres. In 2023 we treated 70 acres at a cost of $70,000. This treatment helps manage, not control, weed growth. The DNR determines where treatment will be done.

Dan Couglin of the Watershed District spoke of the invasive species infestation in Diamond Lake. There are 9 sites of incoming water besides property drainage into the lake increasing the phosphorus level. Controlling weed infestation takes time.

Brian Nelson from Nest Lake spoke of their experience of weed harvesting. Weed harvesting is done from June 1st to Labor Day, 5 days per week. Needs equipment, operator, removal of harvested weeds. Has shown a 75% improvement of weed infestation. Nest Lake covers 1,040 acres.

An AED is possibly going to be installed at the County Park with Kandiyohi county, local township and DLARA sharing cost. The DLARA board will determine dollar share. A motion was m/s/c to donate $500 to the Atwater Veterans Memorial.

Weed Fest will be held on July 20, 2024 with music, food trucks, and informational booths similar to last year.

DLARA membership dues will be left to the discretion of the board.

Respectfully submitted,
Pat Ryan, Secretary
